New role for out-of-work actors: Bigfoot?
While gathering the latest Bigfoot news and headlines, I noticed an interesting and unusual trend: Independent film producers are creating movies about Bigfoot, and trying to find actors who can play the part. But it turns out these types of cinematic endeavors aren't easy, or financially rewarding.

"Because this is a 'no budget' film, the actors and crew will not be paid," explains the Abilene Reporter-News in a story about a ne Bigfoot "mockumentary" being produced in Texas. "The film is operating on a tight budget with the hopes of covering even production costs. Some of the leads will be offered deferred payment contracts in which they get a small percentage in the film when or if it sells at some point in the future."
Down in Australia, they're shooting for a much bigger name, with the Queensland Sunday Mail nominating Russell Crowe (among other local celebs) for the central role in a student film about the Yowie, a Bigfoot cousin native to the continent.
As the newspaper notes, Crowe would definitely need to take a pay cut to play the role. But at least he wouldn't need to get a haircut for a while.
